You see where this is going, don't you?

Long (well, not that long) before he was Bilbo Baggins or Dr. John Watson, Martin Freeman was Tim Canterbury, one of the long-suffering paper company employees of "The Office." And the editing wizards at Eagle Beaver Productions have found a way for Freeman to get back to his roots.

The epic story of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is meshed with the epic boredom felt by the characters of "The Office" in this rather impressive mashup that transports the likenesses of the comedy series players to Middle-earth. If anything, it reveals that there's certainly a lot of Tim Canterbury in Bilbo Baggins already.

Oh, and if you think the sight of Ricky Gervais as Gandalf is both hilarious and unsettling in equal measure, wait until you see Mackenzie Crook as Gollum.

Commute to "The Office: An Unexpected Journey" below, and thanks to The Playlist for the find. »
