Much has already been written about that special advanced screening of Star Trek Into Darkness that J.J. Abrams set up for a dying Star Trek fan after he was given weeks to live following a cancer diagnosis. Those close to him had reached out to the online community when Dan, a movie lover who helps out at the New York Asian Film Festival, was unable to see that special IMAX preview because it wasn't screening near him. Through the power of the Internet, one of his final wishes was granted, and his wife recently took to Reddit to thank everyone for making it happen.
