The first of the two in-development Steve Jobs biopics is just about ready to make its way to a theater near you. Open Road films is now in negotiations to acquire distribution rights for Jobs, the new film from director Joshua Michael Stern with Ashton Kutcher as the Apple founder. The movie is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. Deadline, which broke the news about the acquisition, says that the movie is set between 1971 and 2000, as Jobs faced trials and tribulations trying to get his tech company off the ground. First time writer Matt Whiteley wrote the script, and the indie's impressive supporting cast includes Dermot Mulroney, James Woods, Matthew Modine, Josh Gad, J.K. Simmons, and Lukas Haas. The source doesn't mention when the movie will be heading to theaters, and we probably won't know that until the deal has been closed. Obviously this »
