The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off 2013 apart from one other - with helicopter pilot William participating in an attempted rescue of a man who had been swept out to sea in the first minutes of the New Year. William, 30, was part of an Raf search and rescue crew scrambled at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to help find a 41-year-old dog walker who had gotten lost in raging seas at Blackpool, Lancashire.
