President Obama tells ‘Meet The Press’ that he wants gun control and will stand behind a ban on assault weapons, following the Sandy Hook Elementary Massacre that occurred on Dec. 14.

President Barack Obama is vowing to rally the American people around his agenda to ban assault weapons and high capacity clips or magazine, according to a new interview with Meet The Press that aired on Dec. 30.

“It is not enough for us to say, ‘This is too hard so we’re not going to try,’” Obama said during his interview, noting the 26 people that died in Newtown, Connecticut on Dec. 14 at the hands of shooter Adam Lanza. “So what I intend to do is I will call all the stakeholders together.
