Louis Ck will hit the UK

Louis "Ck" Szekely wrote gags for David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Chris Rock before becoming a stadium-filling stand-up in his own right. His Emmy-winning sitcom vehicle Louie finally lands here, three years late, on the FX channel, which is rebranding by adding an "o" to become Fox. Artily low-budget and Woody Allen-influenced, the show portrays a fictionalised version of its star – an acerbic divorced New York dad – punctuated by stand-up segments. Joan Rivers, Jerry Seinfeld, Doug Stanhope and Ricky Gervais pop up in cameos. As do dead dogs and carrier bags full of penises.
