Piers Morgan has become the subject of an online petition to see him deported from the Us. The British talkshow host faced backlash from thousands of Americans after his anti-gun comments on his CNN programme. Over 31,000 Americans have signed a petition to send him back to the UK, following his gun control remarks after the recent shooting in Connecticut. Morgan had interviewed Gun Owners of America director Larry Pratt, in which he called him "a dangerous man". White House petitions usually only require 25,000 signatures to get a response from the government. The petition states that Morgan "is engaged in a hostile attack against the Us Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment", which protects a Us citizen's right to own guns for self-defence purposes.
