Game (still) on!

Just as The League readies to air its final two episodes of Season 4 tonight, FX has renewed the ensemble comedy for a 13-episode Season 5, to premiere in fall 2013.

* Wendell Pierce, whose Treme will unspool its shortened final season in 2013, has landed a role on Michael J. Fox’s new NBC comedy. The as-yet-untitled series, which already has a 22-episode order for the fall, stars Fox as a New York City TV news anchor who was sidelined by his Parkinson’s, but now is ready to go back to work. »
