Back in August, when we told you a Prometheus sequel was in the works, we said that Damon Lindelof, who rewrote the first installment, might not be available. Last night, he told Collider, "Much to the delight of all the fanboys, I don’t see myself being involved in Prometheus-er,” alluding to the fact that many blame the screenwriter for the film's shortcomings. He explained that he and Ridley Scott had begun talking about the next movie, but he told the director he couldn't write it because of other commitments. (Lindelof is focusing on the sci-fi film he's working with Brad Bird on.) There's no word yet on what screenwriter will step up to eventually take all the blame for the sequel. »
