David Letterman is opening up for the first time about the sex scandal that rocked his life back in 2009. In a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter, scheduled to air Jan. 6, 2013, the über-private Late Show host will talk about the extortion plot that caused him to reveal his past affairs with female members of his staff, and how he repaired his marriage with wife Regina Lasko, whom he had married earlier that year. While taping the Late Show in October 2009, Letterman disclosed that he had been the victim of an alleged extortion plot, saying that someone demanded $2 million from him to keep quiet about various sexual liaisons he had with members of his staff.
