Angelina Jolie has chosen her next directing project, following her 2011 debut "In The Land of Blood and Honey." The actress-director will direct "Unbroken" for Universal and Walden Media. In development for over half a century, the story follows that of Louis Zamperini, a 1936 Olympian runner who became a prisoner of war during WWII.  After enlisting, he was captured by the Japanese when his plane went down in 1942; he and another crew mate survived on a raft for 47 days before being captured. Zamperini is now 96. Jolie will oversee the final draft of the script, which is being penned by William Nicholson ("Les MIserables"). Jolie states; “I read Laura Hillenbrand’s brilliant book, and I was so moved by Louie Zamperini’s heroic story, I immediately began to fight for the opportunity to make this film.
