'Dexter,' 'Homeland' finale ratings break records
Surpassing last week’s record-setting ratings, the season finales for Showtime’s Dexter and Homeland once again hit new heights.

Sunday’s seventh season Dexter closer is the network’s most-watched original series episode ever. The first airing delivered 2.8 million viewers and with a total of 3.4 million viewers for the night.

Homeland’s second season finale had 2.3 million viewers, with 2.7 million for the night for another series high.

Season-to-date, Dexter averaged 6.1 million viewers across all platforms; Homeland averaged 5.9 weekly viewers.
