James Franco is having a very busy year. He has been working on his music with collaborator Terry O’Keefe and at the Sundance Film Festival he will have two directorial projects on display: “kink,” and “Interior. Leather Bar.” He will also portray Playboy founder Hugh Hefner in the upcoming biographic picture, “Lovelace.” It seems no wonder that he does not have any time to monkey around.

When asked if he will have any role in the upcoming “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” who currently has motion-capture actor Andy Serkis confirmed to return, Franco responded in the negative;

“I was going to be a small part of the next one. There was a moment when Rupert Wyatt was going to direct the second one. A lot of the human characters that were in the first movie were dead in the sequel that Rupert was going to direct.”
