Sunday’s schedule and ratings ended up all over the place due to football overruns and the networks’ breaking in to their primetime programming on the East Coast to show President Barack Obama’s speech to the interfaith memorial service for the victims of the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.  Having said that, a $1 million winner was declared last night on the season finale of CBS’ Survivor: Philippines (3.2/8). Sunday’s finale was down 20% from the 4.0/10 of the December 18, 2011 finale. However, even with Sunday’s patchwork schedule, last night’s Survivor finale was up compared with the 2.9/8 on its Spring finale on May 13, 2012. On the Reunion special that followed the season finale last night, host Jeff Probst began the show with a moment of silence for the victims in Newtown.
