Director Len Wiseman is trading one remake for another. His last film, Total Recall, is arriving on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, December 18th. We caught up with him to chat about people's unkind reception to this reinterpretation of the original Philip K. Dick short story, and the conversation eased over into his next film, a reboot of the long-standing Mummy franchise for Universal Pictures.

Remaking The Mummy is a little different than taking on a beloved Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, though. The franchise has been around since the mid-30s, and the monster has already seen many different iterations. Still, some people are under the misconception that this will be a reboot of the previous The Mummy movies. The new film will having nothing to do with the Brendan Fraser franchise, at all. It is a completely new take on the mythology, and it will be set in present day. »
