Kate Mara ("House of Cards") is set to star alongside Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall and Paul Bettany in Wally Pfister's directorial debut "Transcendence," which centers on a scientist whose brain is posthumously uploaded to a supercomputer. The film is penned by newcomer Jack Paglen, with Alcon Entertainment financing and producing the project.  Rebecca Hall recently beat out Emily Blunt and Kate Mara's sister Rooney for the starring role opposite Depp. Principle photography is set to begin in April.  Pfister is best-known as cinematographer for Christopher Nolan; he has shot seven of the director's eight features. He won an Oscar for "Inception" in 2011. Nolan, Emma Thomas and Aaron Ryder will serve as executive producers on "Transcendence." Warner Bros. will release the film April 25, 2014.  »
