Photo: RopeofSilicon / Brad Brevet This morning Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Ed Helms announced the 2013 Golden Globe Award nominations in 25 categories and while it's hard to be surprised by anything the Hollywood Foreign Press nominates, I have to say I didn't expect to see three nominations for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Life of Pi saw some love in both Best Picture (Drama) and Best Director (Ang Lee) while the likes of Tom Hooper (Les Miserables) and David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook) missed out in the Director category only to see their films nominated for Best Picture (Comedy/Musical). The Actor categories weren't much of a surprise outside of the nomination for Bill Murray in Hyde Park on Hudson, which is hardly receiving raves and to go with Murray over Omar Sy (The Intouchables) is just another piece of evidence of how much the HFPA loves celebrities. Only surprise »
