G.I. Joe: Retaliation was famously slated to hit theaters in June, a release date that would have made it the fifth movie starring emergent superstar Channing Tatum. Just one problem: as the early trailers for Retaliation implied, Tatum wasn’t in the movie very much. That, along with the apparent thirst for some of that sweet 3-D cash, led Paramount to push the toy-soldier sequel into 2013.
