Diane Lane has been a respected force in Hollywood for over 30 years, but the Oscar-nominated actress (for 2002's "Unfaithful") -- who got her start at the age of 14 in the 1979 movie "A Little Romance" -- says the early fame was incredibly overwhelming.

"I wanted to hide like a mouse under a chair until it passed," Diane told Ladies Home Journal for its October 2010 issue. "It was like I was standing there and got hit by a lightning bolt. My fame was not earned."
