Ang Lee’s Life of Pi is one among the Top-10 films of the year announced by the American Film Institute. The AFI Awards “honors excellence in the moving image arts within the context of a Year in Review” and hosts the teams that have created the top 10 films and television series with a private luncheon.

Life of Pi, a Us production, narrates the journey of Pi on a lifeboat in the sea with a Bengal Tiger. Starring Indian actors Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain, Tabu and Suraj Sharma, and mostly shot in the South of India, the film opened the International Film Festival of India (Iffi) and is scheduled to open the Dubai International Film Festival too.
