Summit Entertainment has picked up the movie rights’ to Breed, a horror novel by Chase Novak aka Scott Spencer, the author of Endless Love. Burr Steers, known for directing the Zac Efron vehicles Charlie St Cloud and 17 Again will adapt and direct. David Heyman, who produced the Harry Potter movies, will produce with his Heyday Films partner Jeffrey Clifford. The book tells of a couple who undergo an experimental fertility treatment that turns them into bloodthirsty savages, leading them on a desperate quest to find a cure. The novel first details their search for the ability to produce offspring.
