We knew it couldn't be long before the Homeland-like shows started percolating through the development process. And here we are! FX has ordered a pilot for Tyrant, created by Gideon Raff, who also created Hatufim, the Israeli series on which Homeland is based. Raff would executive produce alongside fellow Homeland Ep Howard Gordon, and Lost's (and Underemployed's) Craig Wright would serve as showrunner. Tyrant is about an American family who gets sucked into the political turbulence of a Middle Eastern country, according to THR, which sounds like what you'd expect/want from some of the Homeland folk. »
