An enthusiastic crowd was treated to a special performance by glam rocker Adam Lambert and '80s icon Cyndi Lauper on Saturday night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City when they teamed up on Tears for Fears' haunting "Mad World."

Lambert, who will emcee the 2012 Vhi Divas concert this Sunday, was a part of a celebrity-studded event for the second annual "Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays", which raises awareness on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness and supports the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project.

Before taking the stage with his friend Lambert, who gave a memorable performance of "Mad World" when he was on "American Idol," gushed to the crowd, "I can’t believe she asked me to do this! This is amazing.”
