Denzel Washington could be in the hunt for a Best Actor Academy Award Nomination next month for his performance in Robert Zemeckis's Flight. Though we don't expect Flight to fly onto Blu-ray until mid-February, online retailer Amazon.com is already taking pre-orders and revealed cover art.

Flight began its theatrical run on November 2 and has drummed up $83.9 million in business since. With a budget estimated at only $31 million, Flight is already a big success and could become even bigger if Denzel gets the nomination and, potentially later on, a win.

The Flight Blu-ray and DVD combo pack cover art sneak peek isn't the most inspiring. Ultimately Denzel is the sell so it's not surprising to see his head and nothing else.

Amazon's pre-order for Flight is currently $19.99, an above-average 50% off the $39.99 list price. I expected Flight to come in at $27 but Amazon seems to want to get the price »
