Yes, the title is correct and you’ll all see the truth shortly! Promised Land is the new project from director Gus Van Sant, the man behind one of my all-time favourites Good Will Hunting and also great titles such as My Own Private Idaho and Milk.

In the Promised Land, salesman Steve Butler (Matt Damon) works for a natural gas company and then experiences life-changing events after arriving in a small town, where his corporation wants to tap into the available resources. We gave you the trailer a while ago and this is the kind of film I generally love, so I’m particularly excited about the reunion between Van Sant and Damon for the first time since that breakthrough for the latter, with his mate Ben Affleck, who hasn’t too bad recently either.
