Fast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012

It's not exactly "Who shot J.R.?," but "Scandal" fans wondering "Who shot Fitz?" helped push the show to series highs in viewers and adults 18-49 Thursday.

A pair of CBS shows, "Two and a Half Men" and "Person of Interest," also had very good nights, scoring season bests in viewers and the 18-49 demographic (pending updates, as the network's Denver affiliate carried an NFL game). On the flip side, "The X Factor" slipped a little from last week, and "The Vampire Diaries" and "Beauty and the Beast" both fell a good amount.

CBS dominated the total-viewer race with 13.9 million, along with an 8.6 rating/14 share in households in primetime. ABC (7.3 million, 4.8/8) was the best of the rest, beating out Fox's 6.6 million viewers and 4.0/6. NBC came in fourth with 3.5 million viewers and a 2.4/4, and The CW (1.9 million, 1.3/2) trailed.
