Thoughts by Tsr: This looks like basically every trailer for every blockbuster that’s come out in the past few years. There is virtually nothing distinguishing about it, save for the great cast (and even they take a backseat to the onslaught of explosions and CGI). No, everything in this feels derivative. There’s the Brrrmm straight out of Inception, and the CGI overload that would be at home in any number of blockbusters from the past couple years. This is really nothing more than an announcement teaser, so I’m not about to write it off after 60 seconds, but even though I enjoyed 2009’s Star Trek I just can’t do anything more than shrug for Star Trek Into Darkness.
