Bob Costas has stepped back his support for Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock, telling Fox News host Bill O'Reilly he was unaware of the sportswriters comparison of the NRA to the Kkk. In an appearance on the O'Reilly Factor, Costas first said he would disagree that Jason Whitlock was 'way out there' as the host had suggested, but later said he had not heard the sportswriters comparison claiming that the National Rifle Association is a modern day Ku Klux Klan. Costas told O'Reilly he hadn't heard that crazy comparison until after his comments on Sunday Night Football and wasn't even sure of the timeline of when Whitlock made the comparison. "In any case, I was unaware of them. And obviously, I would disagree with that 100 percent," Costas said.
