For those still not familiar with the drill, every year the Brit Awards announce three nominees for their Critics' Choice prize, which is announced at the end of the year to drum up excitement ahead of the event in February. This year's three potential winners have been named this morning, and they are (in no particular order): AlunaGeorge, Laura Mvula and Tom Odell. Ahead of the winner announcement on December 20, we've taken a closer look at each nominee below: AlunaGeorge Who are they?
They're a duo from London, made up of Aluna Francis on vocals and George Reid, who does everything else. What do they sound like?
There's quite a lot going on in their music, so the best we can describe it is a fusion of R&B, pop, dubstep, house beats and Aluna's high-pitched, early '00s-inspired garage vocal. Truth (more) »
