XLrator Media has acquired the Us rights to Canadian twins Jen and Sylvia Soska's horror thriller "American Mary." XLrator CEO Barry Gordon called "Mary," which follows a medical student's grisly journey through the world of body modification surgery, "one of the most original, thought-provoking and subversive horror films" he had ever seen. Caterina Scrivano and John Curtis negotiated the deal on behalf of IndustryWorks Pictures with Gordon and Mike Radiloff, of XLrator. "American Mary" is due for release in the fall of 2013 on XLrator's new Screamfest label. It stars Katharine Isabelle. The trailer is below.
