There are technically three separate parts of the X-Men franchise universe as established by 20th Century Fox. The first part is the original trilogy, X-Men to X-Men: The Last Stand; then there is the Wolverine movies, which have so far included X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the upcoming The Wolverine; and most recently there was X-Men: First Class. While the sequel to the final title, the in-development X-Men: Days of Future Past, promises to be just that - bringing back James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult for a new go-round as Professor X, Magneto, Mystique and Beast.
