For the first time in his 11 years on the air, Dr. Phil has won the November sweep for syndicated talk shows. The CBS Television Distribution advice show earned a 3.2 rating with an average audience of 4.303 million during the sweep, which ran from October 25-November 21. While the rating was flat with last year, its audience was up 2% from the 2001 November sweep and saw 6% growth to take the lead in the women 25-54 demographic. Katie topped the freshman crowd with a 1.9 rating, finishing fifth overall. Dr. Phil was followed by last year’s leader Live With Regis & Kelly, which is now Live With Kelly And Michael. The Disney-abc Domestic TV’s Live received a 2.7 rating during the period, down 18% from the 3.3 the show got last year when long-time host Regis Philbin bid farewell.
