Yes, so popular was Ford in his heyday, that all he had to do was sign on to play a character called Jack in a movie about trying to get back either his wife or family, and the box receipts would come rolling in. Recently, though, the grizzled grump of an actor has had a tough time in Hollywood, what with an entire decade of middling films and an ill-judged sequel that should have never been made in the first place.
