It’s been one of those busy weeks for The Departed screenwriter William Monahan. He was recently announced as the writer for the remake of Charlize Theron starring remake Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, as well as working on his second directorial effort, Mojave. The latter now has two actors to add to its cast, Jason Clarke and Oscar Isaac. Isaac has most notably made appearances in Sucker Punch, Drive, and The Bourne Legacy, as well as starring in the next Coen brothers movie, Inside Llewyn Davis. Clarke is known for his roles in period gangster pieces Public Enemies and Lawless. He will next be spotter in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty. Details on the plot of Mojave are being kept a secret for now, but it is believed the film will see a man escape into the desert where he runs afoul of a doppelganger-like antagonist.
