The Dark Knight Rises Could any movie have topped The Dark Knight, whether in reality or in moviegoers' imaginations? Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy wraps up with this final installment, starring Tom Hardy as the marble-mouthed villain Bane, notorious for breaking Batman's back and almost taking down the civilized world in a sort of Occupy Gotham movement by way of terrorism. It's overlong and strangely conventional, but undeniably well made -- and Anne Hathaway absolutely steals the show as Catwoman.
