A Million Ways to Die in the West may land Seth MacFarlane as director and star from a script he wrote with Ted's Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film may find theaters in the summer of 2013, but their source says that the deals haven't been concluded as yet. Media Rights Capital who backed the successful Ted, which grossed over $501 million worldwide, are behind this offbeat comedy. The plot is being described as something along the style of the Blazing Saddles classic, mixing contemporary humor with the dangerous, painful life of the late 1800s. There's also a female romantic lead, which we should be hearing about, although I doubt it's any time soon. Producing alongside MacFarlane is Scott Stuber. »
