Guillermo del Toro is going back to horror with Crimson Peak, zeroing in on the haunted-house thriller as his next film. Legendary, which is behind del Toro’s Pacific Rim -- a tentpole-sized, monsters-vs.-machines movie that opens next summer -- has closed a deal with the filmmaker to pick up the project from Universal. That's where it was initially set in 2008. Legendary will produce and be a participating financing partner on the movie, with Universal Pictures retaining an option to also finance at a later date.
