Whilst there was speculation surrounding the casting of potential antagonists Harry Osborne (son of Norman) and Max Dillon (aka Electro) for Marc Webb’s sequel to the decent-enough origin reboot of Peter Parker’s web-slinger The Amazing Spider-man, we’ve been waiting what seems like ages for a confirmation. Well now Thn can bring you just that with the press release confirming that both Chronicle’s Dane Dehaan and Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx (next to be seen in Tarantino’s Django Unchained) will portray friend-turned-foe Osborne and the sparky-titled villain respectively.

Dane DeHaan will join the cast of the next installment of The Amazing Spider-Man™ along side Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Shailene Woodley as Columbia Pictures prepares to begin production on the next chapter of the blockbuster franchise, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures, and Hannah Minghella, president of production for the studio. »
