Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's standalone stories will star Gemma Arterton, Tamsin Greig and Timothy West
BBC2 has commissioned a series of dark comedies from the writers and stars of The League of Gentlemen and Psychoville, featuring Gemma Arterton, Tamsin Greig and Timothy West.
The series, written by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, will air on BBC2 late next year.
Given the working title Inside No.9, the comedy will consist of standalone stories of the bizarre goings on at very different houses with the same numerical address.
Each of the six stories will be set in a different house – from a grand country manor to the flat of primary school teacher – where "the ordinary and mundane rub shoulders with the extraordinary and macabre", according to the BBC.
