Whew! Sorry I’m a little late with this. Been a super hectic week, but that’s no excuse so let’s get right to it! Instead of looking at this as the rockin’ tune to kick off your weekend, let’s instead look at it as the rockin’ tune to kick off your work week! And the way I came to this is usually the way I pick all these songs; they just come on randomly when I’ve got my iTunes on random play in the car and I’m reminded of what the song means to me.
So this entry? Metallica‘s “Holier Than Thou” from their self titled “Black Album”. Why? Well, a few reasons. For starters, “And Justice For All” is by far my favorite Metallica record. The songs are long & epic, the riffs and lyrics are intricate and there’s just so much packed into that 60 minutes of music. »
