20 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has dropped out as the director of Summit Entertainment's Highander remake. Ryan Reynolds is still attached to star in the film, but apparently the studio and the director just couldn't agree on the direction to take the movie. After a year of trying to figure out the story and style they agreed to disagree and parted ways. Justin Lin was also attached to the project at one point but left to direct Fast 6.

Summit will start looking for another director to take his place, someone that shares the same vision as they do. Fresnadillo will also go on the hunt for a new directing gig. He was previously attached to direct the Crow remake but dropped out of it to take on Highlander. Maybe he'll try to jump back on board that project that hasn't made any progress since he left it. »
