Ben Affleck is having a big week. Just yesterday Entertainment Weekly named the actor/filmmaker their Entertainer of the Year for his work on Argo. Today we learn when Argo will make its Blu-ray and DVD debut. The latter isn't necessarily big for Ben, but it's definitely big for us who want to watch Argo in the comfort of our own home.

The February 19, 2013 Argo release date for Blu-ray and DVD was outed by a product listing page at BestBuy.com. No other retailers have published this date as of yet, but I expect someone to follow up here real soon.

The irony of Argo making its home video debut on February 19 is that date falls five days before the 85th Annual Academy Awards on February 24. Argo is expected to be in the running for at least a Best Director nomination for Affleck, if not a Best Picture nomination as well. »
