Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012

Wednesday's "Modern Family" improved on its ratings from its last new episode, keeping a stranglehold on the adults 18-49 crown for the night. "Suburgatory" was down a little in viewers, but it improved its 18-49 rating from two weeks ago.

Elsewhere, NBC's all-holiday special lineup turned in better-than-usual numbers for a Wednesday, and "The X Factor" was up a good amount from last week's pre-Thanksgiving show. "Arrow" also stayed strong for The CW, while all of CBS' lineup improved on last week on the way to a win in total viewers.

CBS averaged 11.5 million viewers and a 7.4 rating/12 share in households in primetime. Fox (8.1 million, 4.7/7) came in second, while ABC (7.97 million, 4.6/7) just edged NBC (7.96 million, 4.9/8) for third. The CW brought in 2.9 million viewers and a 1.8/3.

ABC and Fox tied for the lead among adults 18-49 at 2.8. CBS was right behind at 2.7, and NBC scored a 2.5 in the demographic.
