Earlier this year, we got word that Piranha 3D director Alexandre Aja would be at the helm of Undying Love, a big screen take on the Image Comic of the same name that comic writers Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman have adapted themselves for a feature film. The story follows an ex-soldier who falls in love with a vampire, but in order to be with her, he must take on her creator, who is protected by an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld. However, it sounds like Aja is no longer involved on the project, and Deadline's report pegs A-Team and The Grey director Joe Carnahan as the man to take over the job now.
