The second series of Fresh Meat came to an end with a modest audience last night (Tuesday, November 27). The Channel 4 sitcom, which has apparently been recommissioned for a third series, sank to 781,000 and a share of 4.2% at 10pm, adding 170k on +1. Star Jack Whitehall has recently criticised Channel 4's scheduling of the comedy alongside Jewish Mum of the Year, which attracted a tiny fanbase during October in the 9pm slot. On average, Fresh Meat has dropped 200k year-on-year - the show's first run, which aired on Wednesday nights last autumn, averaged just over a million viewers, while not one episode this year could top the 1m mark.
