Larry Hagman, better known for his role as J.R. Ewing in the show Dallas, passed away this weekend after a year long battle with cancer and here at Thn, we wanted to pay a deserved tribute. The actor, who recently reprised his role as the Dallas villain, passed away at Medical City in Dallas, Texas and it has been reported that his on screen co stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were by his side alongside loved ones.

While the actor played a bad guy on screen, a joint statement released by Warner Bros TV and executive producers Cynthia Cidre and Michael M. Robin said that Hagman was ‘a larger than life personality’. They also said how much he loved playing the character:
