Larry Hagman died Nov. 23, 2012 at the age of 81 in Dallas, Tex., where he performed his role as J.R. Ewing on the sequel series, "Dallas."

J.R.'s original "Sue Ellen," Linda Gray, was reportedly by Hagman's side when he passed away. The actress tweeted, "So sad to lose such a wonderful dear bigger than life friend. Larry Hagman was one of a kind and will be with us all forever," followed by, "Thank you all for the love you have been sending about Larry's passing. He was a true icon loved by so many."

Jesse Metcalfe, who is one of Hagman's co-stars on the "Dallas" reboot, says via Twitter, "It was truly an honor to share the screen with Mr. Larry Hagman.
