Larry Hagman has died, aged 81. The Texas-born actor passed away on 23 November 2012, according to a family statement. He died in hospital after suffering from cancer and cirrhosis of the liver, and was surrounded by loved ones according to a family statement. Hagman was best known for his role as J.R. Ewing in Dallas. He played the role across hundreds of episodes in the '70s, '80s and '90s, and had even reprised it for the recent revival.
