Apple has been ordered to disclose details of its recent licensing agreement with Htc to Samsung. The iPhone-maker recently entered a 10-year patent-sharing deal with the Taiwanese firm, but did not publicly reveal the figures behind the partnership. Samsung - which is involved in a bitter patent dispute with Apple across more than 10 territories - sought legal action to establish the details behind the settlement, believing some of the same patents are involved in both cases. "It is clearly a very smart move from Samsung - because the general feeling is that a lot of its patent disputes with Apple are very likely to be similar to those between Htc and Apple," Andrew Milroy, an analyst with Frost and Sullivan, (more) »
