The first trio of indie types tested for the part of Harry Osborn, best pal to Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were Brady Corbet (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) and Alden Ehrenreich (Stoker).

After a week, comes word that four more thesps are set to audition, including Douglas Booth (Noah), Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Boyd Holbrook (The Host) and Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn).

Harry Osborn, the son of Green Goblin Norman Osborne is an important character in the comic book who soon becomes Parker’s arch-nemesis. You probably remember James Franco played the Osborn role in the Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man films and plan was to continue the tradition of a more brooding and dark path for the character in the new films.
